Re: Maryland Basketball 2009-2010
Maryland did exactly what I wanted them to do tonight against UVA...they came out and played very hard taking nothing for granted. Vasquez with the humongous first half; 25 points. I didn't worry about the short layoff between the Duke game and this one, it actually was a good thing since they had so much time off before. Now they just have to stay focused and beat the teams they should beat(such as NC State on Wednesday) and they will be in the tournament. No guarantees though, gotta play hard. A win against Duke or Clemson at home would be very nice too and improve our seed a lot.

Re: Maryland Basketball 2009-2010
Maryland better wake up and rally to beat NC State, down 37-27.
If they lose this game they put themselves right square on the bubble because there last 5 games are not easy. Georgia Tech Clemson @ Va Tech Duke @ Virginia You cannot lose to NC State, facing a 5 game stretch like that. |

Re: Maryland Basketball 2009-2010
Terps are in good shape tourney wise. Frustrating for a lot of this game, but they proved who was clearly the better team, without even really playing a good game. Last 5 are tough though, but they'll pull out at least 2, hopefully, probably more, so they're fine.
On a side note. I'm out here in Seattle. I go to 7 Eleven when I get off work and the guy walking in the store before me has on a Terps hat! So I yell out TERPS! and we get to talking, he's out here from Annapolis and was trying to find a place to watch the game tonight. Asked him about the NFL and who he goes for, he says "Oh, I follow the Ravens", that literally was the end of the conversation! But hey, 1 outta 2 ain't bad. |

Re: Maryland Basketball 2009-2010
^ Haha nice loyalty. Him just being a Terps fan is good for me, can't expect everything haha. I tried to watch the game tonight, even went to a sports bar, but the game was blacked out even on ESPN Full Court. Weird.
I saw we were down at the half though and was worried. But I guess we went on a ridiculous run fueled by Vasquez. I think Greives has stepped up bigtime this year after starting out slowly. His "out of control" play has all but disappeared and he scores when he has to. Still takes some forced shots, but hey, that's just his game. I think we are in good shape for the tournament. If we even go 2-3 in those final 5 we should be good. I am going to cautiously say 3-2, and a win against GTech, Clemson, or Duke really makes our resume look good. VTech and Virginia on paper should be wins but you never know, espcially VTEch in Blacksburg. And I wouldn't be surprised at a nice run in the ACC Tournament either. Team is playing with a lot of confidence right now and I am cautiously optimistic. No jinx of course.

Re: Maryland Basketball 2009-2010
Maryland and Duke had very similar nights. Both feel down by doubt digits at the half to teams they have no business losing to and then blew them out in the 2nd half.
Maryland should be fine for the NCAA tourney as long as they don't go 1-4 or 0-5 in their last 5 games. |

YAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! At the bar going wild! Cliff Tucker with the shot of his career! He has been money beyond the arc this year. Jordan Williams is a warrior. Gigantic win.

Re: Maryland Basketball 2009-2010
why wasn't jordan williams in the game on tech's last possession. We seriously have to consider bringing either milbroune or mosley off the bench against bigger teams. Milbourne gets owned by 4s
