... and be the GM himself, ala Jerry Jones. And no, he wasnt joking. He said sometimes you need to "get rid of the insulation" and we need to "go backwards before (we) can go forwards"
Is this the worst idea in the history of bad Ideas? Could Snyder be any worse than Vinny? I think its a horrible idea, but some good could come of it. Perhaps Snyder would realize that HE is the problem and needs to stay out of things and take a "hands off" approach to the team.

I think this could be the year Vinny gets fired with all the these really good general managers available. It would be the big offseason splash that Synder loves if he were able to convince one to come here.

Its obvious that Cerrato needs to go. I heard Phil Savage is free, though I would take even Snyder over Cerrato at this point.

Both of them are buffoons. As long as one of those guys are still here calling the shots then we will continue to lose and suck.

The best offseason move we could make is grabbing a real GM.

We're going to miss out on good people this year because we need to give Vinny 1 more year to prove he's a loser.
What a waste.

Czabe's point was that if Snyder allowed himself to make all the decisions, the team would become such an abject failure that Snyder would have no choice but to come to grips with the fact that he has no business making decisions of any kind on the football side. It was basically "if Snyder wants to mettle with the football side, let him have complete control so he can fail, and hopefully realize that he's out of his league."

Just fire Vinny! What does he have to lose? You can't stay with the same mentality of mediocrity if you're goal is to win the Super Bowl.
Vinny's way doesn't work. 8 years should be enough time to prove that. (Zorn also needs an Offensive Coordinator)

Vinny will probably get at least one more year. Though if if he could convince another GM to come in but give what we have a chance to work I wouldn't mind. I'm not convinced that Snyder makes any desicions on who to bring in. I think he decides whether he's willing to pay for a certain person or not but I don't think he brings someone in on his own with out consulting the coaches and Vinny.
Quick question for you guys, does anyone know when we are allowed to expand our roster to 80? Can we do it now or do we have to wait till after the super bowl?

I'm about to say something stupid:
I hope that the Skins go 3-13 next season if Vinny is back to have one more year to prove himself. Then, MAYBE, Danny will fire him and hire a real GM. If any are still available.
